Wind Testing Docs

On April 11, 2007, Trap-Loc® Siding was ASTM tested and certified for up to 230 miles per hour at negative pressure, exceeding every known standard, as well as the nation’s toughest building codes in Florida’s Miami Dade County.

ASTM E330-02 is the “Standard Test Method for Structural Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtain Walls and Doors by Uniform Static Air Pressure Differences.”  All of the tests were performed in full accord and with no deviations at The National Certified Testing Laboratories in Orlando, Florida. Trap-Loc® Siding passed both Deflection and Permanent Set testing, proving that Trap-Loc®’s patented design and top down installation achieve superior resistance to wind and uplift.

In 2012, an independent engineer certified Trap-Loc® Siding by Shaver Millwork with an allowable design pressure of over 200 mph+.

A Summary of the ASTM E330-02 Testing Method, Results and Specifications on the Test Wall can be viewed through the link below and to the left.  The link to the right will bring you to the 2012 Engineering Certification and Siding Specifications.
